Step into your own backyard retreat with our 4.8m Thermowood Barrel Sauna — a beautifully crafted outdoor sauna built from premium 46mm Thermally Modified Pine. Available in two diameters (Ø1.97m and Ø2.27m), with internal volumes of 12.22m³ and 16.22m³ respectively, this sauna pairs traditional barrel styling with modern heater options to suit every preference.

Built-in Changing Room — Standard, but Optional
Every 4.8m barrel comes standard with a built-in changing room — a useful covered porch area where you can hang towels, kick off your shoes, and step out of the elements before heading into the heat.
Prefer a larger sauna space instead? Opt out of the changing room at no extra cost and the full barrel length becomes your sauna cabin — giving you significantly more interior volume and bench space. Just let us know when you order.
Premium Thermowood Construction
Our barrel saunas are built from 46mm Thermally Modified Pine staves, a high-performance timber that offers excellent durability and stability.
Thermowood is treated using a natural heat modification process that improves the timber’s:
- Moisture resistance — far less swelling, shrinking, and warping than untreated pine
- Rot & decay resistance — ideal for outdoor, year-round use in the UK climate
- Thermal performance — better heat retention means faster warm-up and lower running costs
- Dimensional stability — staves hold their shape, keeping the barrel tight and weather-sealed

Finnish Roofing Shingles
Included as standard — genuine Finnish bitumen shingles in your choice of colour. These add a beautiful finishing touch while providing decades of weatherproof protection. Choose from Black, Red, Green, or Brown to match your garden.
Delivery & Installation
Your barrel sauna will be delivered & Installed by our professional installation team. Lead times are typically 6–8 weeks from order and our team will deliver in large Sprinter type vans. For delivery only you will be contacted for preferred delivery type, whether palletised for forklift unloading, assembled for HIAB crane or forklift unloading or by Crane delivery if required and arranged. Full assembly instructions are included, and most customers complete the build in a weekend with two people.
